The Carriage House Salon

Hello and Welcome! My name is Julie Bacher and you may know me as your kid’s Spanish teacher, or perhaps your Spanish teacher. I spent most of my working life teaching Spanish, a language that I love.

As so many people do, I made a career change. Massage is in alignment with my belief that we are here to make each other feel better. We all need healing from the tension of daily life that we all carry in our bodies.

I believe that the benefits of massage are more healing than even science tells us. We are resetting our nervous system and releasing the stress of life.

It’s hard to pinpoint the moment when life started to feel not-so-soothing.

Self-care is not a luxury. It’s a necessity.

Massage is a reset button for the nervous system. By activating the parasympathetic nervous system, massage allows your body, mind, and spirit to return to a relaxed state, as if you were sitting by a running river.

deep physical and spiritual healing, welcoming you as you truly are

When you get a massage, you are taking the time and effort to truly love yourself. I have so much respect for that choice. It is not a luxury, although it may feel luxurious.
